The OnePlus 6 may boast a triple-digit DxOMark camera rating, according to a newly leaked render that recently surfaced on Chinese social media platform Weibo.
The leaked OnePlus 6 image, itself appears to be in lines with recent supposed sightings of the OnePlus 6, with its display notch also corresponding to the image OnePlus itself shared last month, both in terms of size and contents. The cutout should accommodate a front-facing camera, earpiece, and a proximity sensor, being centered at the very top of the OnePlus 6’s screen.
While OnePlus devices were never considered as featuring some of the best mobile cameras compared to their peers, the Chinese phone maker already hinted it’s looking to significantly improve the imaging capabilities of its next Android offering.
DxOMark never reviewed the OnePlus 5T but gave the camera of the OnePlus 5 a score of 87. The OnePlus 6 is expected to feature a dual-camera setup similar to the one found in its predecessor, though the two sensors are now likely to be centered near the top of the phablet’s rear plate instead of being positioned in one of its corners, according to previous leaks.
