How we created this list?

Oppo normally gives 2 major OS update to most of its smartphones – If you have an Oppo device running Andriod 9 Pie and ColorOS 6.0/6.1 out of the box, then you are eligible (technically) for the next 2 versions of Android (Android 10 and upcoming Android 11). We have listed all the devices running Android 10 OS with ColorOS 7.0/7.1, which launched with Android 9 Pie or higher. In addition, we also added a few more devices because we are sure those devices will receive the next Android OS.

Example: If your device has already received two (Android 9 and Android 10) major OS updates, it means you are not eligible for the next OS upgrade.

ColorOS 8 Release Date:

Last year, Google added Oppo Reno in the Android 10 beta device list, it had access to Android 10 Q developer preview since May 2019. In November 2019, it received the ColorOS 7.0 beta (Android 10) update but sadly it took complete 5 months to receive the stable ColorOS 7 and Android 10 update.

Oppo isn’t the company that takes software updates seriously. It means you should expect the end of the 2020 release for the ColorOS 8 beta program. Well, the company could also start the stable update rollout ahead of our expected date Q1 2021.
