[TIPS] How to download Software Update on Samsung Smartphones

To update the Android OS in your Samsung smartphones, your phones should have at least a 20% battery charge. It can be done through the Software Upgrade Assistant or can be done over a Wi-Fi connection.

HOW TO CHECK FOR UPDATES

To check for the updates manually, Go to Settings > System Updates > Check for system updates. If any update is available then tap Download and then tap Install Now.

FOR SAMSUNG SMARTPHONES RUNNING ANDROID 10/ANDROID 9 PIE AND ONE UI 2.0/1.0:

For Galaxy Note 10, Galaxy S10, Galaxy Note9, Galaxy S9, or any other Samsung smartphone with Android 10 or Android 9 Pie. You can go through the following steps to update your phone.

  1. Open Settings
  2. Scroll and Tap Software update.
  3. Tap Download and install.
  4. If available, you can install the update right away by tapping Install now option or do it later tapping Schedule install.
  5. If you tap Schedule install, it will let you select a time for when the update will be installed.

FOR SAMSUNG SMARTPHONES RUNNING ANDROID OREO/ANDROID NOUGAT:

  1.  Open Settings.
  2. Scroll and Tap Software update.
  3. Tap Download and install, if there is an update available, the phone will automatically start the download.
  4. To use schedule software updates, just tap the toggle for Scheduled software updates.

HOW TO USE SMART SWITCH?

The Smart Switch will only work if a particular update is already available for your device. Using Smart Switch’s computer version, you can update a device with the latest software. Your device will be more stable, and it will perform better.
